Safety Management Services, Inc. (SMS) is in a unique position to assist you. Our engineers and scientists have an average of 15 years of experience in explosive’s risk management, testing, and test equipment. SMS personnel have a thorough understanding of energetic materials in-process testing, DOT testing, risk management, and sensitivity test equipment. Our risk management, testing, and test equipment expertise was developed while SMS personnel were employed by Hercules Aerospace and ATK.

Testing

SMS is one of four laboratories authorized by the DOT to witness classification tests for explosives (Class I).  We also frequently run in-process tests.  Testing is performed at our test site facility at the Tooele Army Depot where we have a thermal lab, sensitivity test lab, and large scale test area.  Please contact us for further testing information at 801-567-0456.
